    The Department of Physical and Life Sciences at Wilson College is seeking a broadly-trained biologist specializing in zoology and ecology to fill a tenure track, assistant professor position beginning August, 2015.     Chaplain

    Wilson College is seeking an individual to fill the position of the Helen Carnell Eden Chaplain. The Chaplain reports to the Dean of Students, and provides pastoral leadership to the Wilson community of students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumnae/i. The Chaplain’s moorings in the Reformed tradition should inform an appreciation of Wilson’s ecumenical and multi-faith community. As pastor to the college, the Chaplain’s primary areas of responsibility are in the areas of worship leadership, pastoral care, and spiritual formation. The chaplain works with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumnae/i, and community leaders to build a supportive and inclusive community of inquiry and spiritual development whose members are committed to serving others. This is a 10 month, full time administrative position.

    Stable Assistant Job

    Wilson is in search of a professional stable associate to help care for up to 70 resident horses. A bachelor’s degree in equestrian studies or related field is required and a minimum of one year professional experience is preferred.

    Candidates must have strong horsemanship skills, including feeding, handling fractious animals calmly, blanketing, grooming, clipping and follow up veterinary care. The ability to recognize and assess potential problems immediately is critical. Candidates must be familiar with the correct administration of IM, PO and OS medications; correct application of poultices, sweats, standing bandages, foot wraps and other first aid care; and emergency and follow-up care. The position requires the ability to work independently and to supervise and mentor students, while also taking direction. Candidates must be able to work effectively as team member and have a strong desire to learn. Professionalism, good judgment, attention to detail and good organizational and communication skills are required.
