Student Learning

The Fulton Center of Sustainable Living offers students opportunities for learning and recreation both in and out of the classroom.

  • Curricular offerings include classes via the Environmental Studies Department, such as Agroecology, Land Stewardship, Low Input Sustainable Agriculture, Permaculture Design, and Gardening for Fitness.  Upper level students may also earn academic internship credit working with FCSL projects.  Other departments also utilize the facilities for classes such as Landscape Painting, Conservation Biology, and more.
  • Extra-curricular offerings include sustainability workshops, volunteer opportunities, and student bonfires and hay-rides.  The Interpretive Trail and farm are also great places to walk, run, or ride a horse or bike.
  • The Environmental Club offers students interested in green lifestyles and activities a chance to get involved and have some fun.
