Associate of Science in Accounting

The Associate of Science Degree in Accounting develops competencies that enable professionals to perform accounting functions within business, government, and not-for-profit organizations.

 

For those wishing to earn a baccalaureate degree or, thereafter, to pursue certification in the accounting field, the associate degree affords the beginning of an appropriate business curriculum which may be completed by the addition of more advanced accounting courses together with the traditional liberal arts component of the baccalaureate degree. The associate degree, therefore, may be regarded as either an educational entity or as an introduction to a more inclusive baccalaureate program.
