Scholars Program

The Wilson Scholars Program is a recent expression of Wilson College’s long-term commitment to academic rigor in the liberal arts – a commitment extending back to the college’s founding in 1869.

The Wilson Scholars Program functions as Honors programs do at other colleges and universities. Our goal is to offer challenging courses and exciting extracurricular opportunities for highly motivated and academically talented students.

Interests and Work

My primary scholarly interests are in ethics and applied ethics, though I enjoy teaching courses across the philosophy curriculum. I've written a number of chapters on the intersection of pop culture and ethics, so you could stop by my office to tell me how your favorite film or TV show makes you ponder how we should live. I enjoy working with students on research in ethics and politics; if you share my interests, you might join Wilson's Ethics Bowlhttp://ethics.iit.edu/eb/index.html team, which I also coordinate.

Wilson Scholars Program

I've been directing the Honors program at Wilson since the Fall of 2007. We're looking for talented new students to join our program. If you're interested, take a look at the Wilson Scholars homepage and send me a note at the address above.
