Meal Plans

All residential students are required to participate in the meal plan.  Meal plan selections are for the entire academic year (both fall and spring semesters). New residential students are required to be on the Phoenix meal plan their first year. Commuter and Adult Degree students can opt into any meal plan of their choosing.

Students may change their plan between fall and spring semesters only, with a $10 processing fee.  This is not applicable to first year freshman students. Any remaining meals at the end of the semester are forfeited and there are NO refunds.  All students must have their Wilson student ID card to eat in Jensen Dining Hall. Students with special dietary needs are encouraged to contact the Sage General Manager for information regarding dining services.

Individual & Guest Meal Options

Other Wilson Community members, students not on a meal plan, and their guests are welcome to eat in the dining hall. Meal prices, including tax, are listed on the dining hall's website. Please pay the cashier at the door before entering the dining hall. Cash or checks made payable to Wilson College are the accepted at the entrance of the dining hall. Children under 10 are charged half-price. Students cannot use their meal plan to pay for a guest's meal.

If you have the Phoenix or Gold meal plan and would like to use one of your free Guest Meal Passes, please contact Lorie Helman in Student Development during normal business hours.

Meal Plan Exemptions

All students who live on campus at Wilson College are required to take one of the residential board plans. This is grounded in principle - that a major feature of a residential college is table sharing - as well as economic practicality - in order to equip and staff a full dining program, there must be a consistent number of students participating in the service. Exemptions from the meal plan requirement are rare. These are made solely on the documented health conditions that require specialized diets that cannot be accommodated by the College's food service provider. Documentation must be from the medical doctor (or licensed professional with expertise in the area of diagnosis) who is treating the student for that condition. If you need to request an exemption, please download the instructions and form here.
