Transfer Student Admission Criteria
- Wilson accepts transfer admission applications for fall and spring semesters.
- Acceptance of transfer students is based on the following:
- Completion of high school requirements or GED prior to college.
- Previous college work completed with a C or better from a regionally accredited institution.
Wilson College may accept up to 22 course credits toward a Bachelor’s degree and a maximum of 9 course credits toward an Associate’s Degree. Under the Credit system at Wilson, a three to four semester hour course is equivalent to one Wilson Course Credit (All transferable credit will be determined by the Registrar’s office)
Wilson College has developed articulation agreements with a number of two-year institutions to provide for a seamless transfer process for students. A dual admission program exists with Harrisburg Area Community College.
Articulation agreements cover the following colleges:
Central Penn College
Frederick Community College
Hagerstown Community College
Harcum College
Howard Community College
Lehigh-Carbon Community College
Luzerne County Community College
Transfer credits are subject to approval by the Wilson College Registrar's Office.
Transfer Student Admission Process
- Complete an admission application either on paper or online.
- Official high school transcript. If you have successfully completed at least four college courses, your high school transcript is only necessary for us to have prior to your enrollment.
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended.
- Letter of recommendation from a professor, teacher, or counselor who knows that you are capable of doing college.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
The CLEP program offers computerized exams that a student can take at a local testing site to earn credit for a specific course. There are five general exams and 29 subject-specific exams available to all students. This method is the least expensive and results are immediately available in most cases.
