Distinguished Alumna Award – Established in 1983 – presented in June at Reunion for “alumnae who have distinguished themselves in their professional or voluntary careers and who have shown continuing service, interest and support in the growth and quality ofWilsonCollege. They must have demonstrated service to the College that spans a period of five to ten years or longer.”
Distinguished ADP (Adult Degree Program) Alumna/us Award– Established in 2012 in celebration of the 30thanniversary of the Adult Degree Program – Presented in June at Reunion to honor an alumna/us who has distinguished herself/himself in her/his professional or voluntary career and who has shown continuing service, interest and support in the growth and quality of Wilson College. She/he must have demonstrated service to the College that spans a period of five to ten years or longer.
Outstanding Young Alumna Award – Established in 1989 – presented in June at Reunion to honor alumnae “ who have graduated within the last twenty years and who have brought honor to themselves and to Wilson College through their intellectual and professional growth and their contributions to their communities through the professional and/or volunteer activities.”
Ruth Redding Leitch Recruitment Award – Established in 1988 – presented in the fall to recognize alumnae for outstanding service in acquainting prospective students withWilsonCollege.
TiftCollegeAward – Established in 1989 – presented in June at Reunion to an alumna “who has demonstrated exemplary efforts to promote the continuing growth ofWilsonCollege.” This award is in appreciation for the example and assistance given by members of theWilsonfamily to the alumnae ofTiftCollegein their efforts to save their college.
Legacy Award – Established in 1969 to commemorate theWilson College centennial and reinstated in 1980 after several years of inactivity. The award is presented in the fall to a student who has a relative who is a graduate of a degree or certificate program of Wilson College. Scholarship, leadership and service to the College will be considered in making the award.
Faculty Award – Established in 1998 and presented in June to a former faculty member who gave a minimum of 10 years of dedicated service to Wilson College.
Alumnae/i must not be currently serving on the Board of Trustees or Alumnae Association Board of Directors to be eligible for these awards.
