Wilson College is accepting applications for the following internship and assistantship opportunities with the Athletics Department.
Athletics Department Internship
The intern will assist the Director of Athletics in administering seven NCAA Division III women’s sports and 2 club sports. In addition, the intern will assist in facility management, coordinating intramural activities, event management, advising the student-athlete advisory committee, scheduling, budget preparation and organization and more.
Internships are available on a semester or year long basis.
Interns will be provided funding for approved professional development opportunities as well as a small stipend.
Coaching Internship Position
Wilson College invites applicants for interns in coaching for its NCAA Division III and club sports. Coaching Internships are available in the sports of field hockey, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, softball, tennis and lacrosse. The intern will assist with recruiting, scouting, game and practice preparation / coaching, mentoring, equipment management and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Applicants should be seeking a degree/certification in an athletic-related field and have intercollegiate experience in the specific sport.
Internships are available on a seasonal, semester, or year long basis. Travel and registration expenses for coaching educational seminars will be provided to the successful candidates.
Sports Medicine Department Internship
The Wilson College Athletic Training Department is accepting applications for internships in the area of Sports Medicine. The interns will assist with the duties of the Certified Athletic Trainer. Wilson College is an NCAA Division III Women’s College with 7 sports and 2 club sports teams. Under the direct supervision of the Certified Athletic Trainer, the intern would assist in the areas of Computer Data Entry, Pre and Post Practice/Game Preparation, Inventory, Athletic Training Room Maintenance, and various Sports Medicine related activities.
The applicant should be energetic, have good communication skills, and be pursuing a degree in a field related to sports medicine.
Internships are available on a semester or year long basis. Funding for professional development is available as well as a small stipend.
