Posted: April 6, 2013

Wilson College Athletics will celebrate its student-athletes when the Phoenix take part in National Student-Athlete Day Saturday. This year marks the 26th celebration of National Student-Athlete Day. Student-Athletes nationwide are honored for achieving excellence in the classroom and on the field, while making significant contributions to their schools and communities.

Please join us in honoring Vanessa Whitfield (Chambersburg, Pa./ Chambersburg) and our scholar athletes prior to the start of Wilson’s lacrosse game at 11:00 am.

The Phoenix will recognize Whitfield’s outstanding achievement this season on the basketball court. As a junior, Whitfield surpassed the 1,000 career point benchmark. She is the sixth Phoenix in the history of the program to reach this accomplishment.
