Field Hockey Falls to Neumann University

The Wilson College field hockey team fell to Neumann University this afternoon, 4-0.

Neumann netted four goals in the second half after a scoreless first half for both teams. Jordan Hopkins scored for the Knights with just over one minute of play in the second half, as teammates Lindsey Spatola and Alexa McIntyre helped with the rest of the Neumann offense. Wilson was shut out by the Knights defense and was not able to capitalize on any scoring opportunities.

Senior Brittney Smith tallied four shots in the contest for the Phoenix. Sophomore Gina Weigold had a busy second half and totaled seven saves in the game.

The Phoenix host Stevenson University on Saturday, September 14th for a 1:00pm game.
