Sophomores Katelyn Wingerd and Taylor Crouse have been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) softball player/pitcher for the week of February 24-March 2.
Katelyn Wingerd currently is batting .385 and has five hits in thirteen at bats. Wingerd totaled three hits and three RBIs in the Phoenix wins over Southern Virginia University last weekend. She also scored four Wilson runs.
Taylor Crouse earned NEAC pitcher of the week for her solid performance in the pitching circle. She snatched her second win of the year over Southern Virginia University, winning 13-3. Crouse gave up two earned runs and struck out five in the Phoenix win. She currently posts a 3.15 earned run average.
