Walt has enjoyed a career of 45 years in education as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, a principal and an assistant superintendent.  He retired from public education in 2002.

Broad experience in curriculum, instructional supervision, federal projects and special education for K-12 programming has been directly applicable in his role as Director of the Teacher Intern Program here at Wilson College for the past ten years.  There is a special satisfaction admitting students, designing their program and advising them through their committment to achieve instructional certification.
