During her 20 years in public education Theresa taught Special Education classes in grades k-12 in all subjects. Beginning her career at the elementary level, she taught in Maryland and in several school districts in Pennsylvania. Prior to starting her PhD studies, she spent 2 years teaching 5th grade in the general education setting. Theresa concluded her public school career teaching Special Education at the secondary level for 6 years while completing her course work for her PhD.
After spending 3 years as an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Penn State University, Theresa is excited about teaching Special Education courses to the students in the Wilson College programs.
