MASTER OF EDUCATION (M.Ed.)
Become a Teacher-Leader of Tomorrow!

The M.Ed. degree, formerly named Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.), is designed for women and men in the teaching profession. The program is based on the premise that successful teachers will need a strong liberal arts education, an in-depth knowledge of pedagogy, and mastery of current theory, practice, and technology to become teacher-leaders.
The M.Ed., offered by Wilson College, targets certified elementary teachers who desire to improve their craft. Our goal is to help these professionals become master teachers. The main focus of the Wilson program is to hone teaching skills through research and classroom practices, thereby fostering teaching excellence and teacher leadership.
Pennsylvania Instructional I certificated candidates, upon successful completion of the M.Ed., will be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional II Certificate.
