Wilson Soccer Defeats Morrisville St.

The Wilson College Soccer team earned their 1st win of the season, with a 2-0 victory over North Eastern Athletic Conference rival Morrisville St.

Junior, Courtney Bernecker (Saint Thomas, Pa. / James Buchanan) got Wilson on the scoreboard early, scoring just eleven minutes into the game. She would find the back of the net again early in the second half to secure the Phoenix victory.

Senior, goalkeeper Katie Murphy (Schnecksville, Pa. / Parkland) recorded 12 saves to earn the shutout victory.

The Phoenix are back in action tomorrow, hosting Cazenovia College in Play 4 the Cure match. Kick off is set for 1:00 pm
