CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Some of the area’s finest pizzerias will go mano-a-mano at Wilson College when they pit their pies against each other and let the people decide on the victor in Chambersburg’s first “Pizza Wars.”
“Pizza Wars” will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in Laird Hall and is open to everyone. Tickets are on sale now for $10 for adults in advance and $12 at the door. That buys the ticket holder a sampling of 10 pizzas. Children 12 and under will get five pizza samples for the ticket price of $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
Beer and other cold drinks will be sold on site and FM radio station 101.5 Bob Rocks will be on hand to play music and give away prizes.
Ticket holders will receive voting slips and throughout the night will cast their ballots for “Best Overall Pizza” and “Best Specialty Pizza.” The overall winning pizza establishment will receive a $1,000 advertising package with 101.5 FM and the winner of the best specialty pizza will get a plaque.
