    Juried High School Art Exhibition Continues through Dec. 7

    Wilson College will hold a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov.1, to mark the opening of an exhibition of art made by area high school students. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will continue through Dec. 7 in the Bogigian Gallery, which is located on the second floor of Lortz Hall.

    Two first-year Wilson College students have been named Marguerite Brooks Lenfest Scholars. Lindsey Sutton of Greencastle and Kelly Myers of McSherrystown were selected for the honor from among a pool of entering students with the highest cumulative grade-point averages and demonstrated leadership initiatives.

    Wilson College Ranks Fifth in U.S. News' "Best Colleges" in North

    Wilson College is a leader among colleges offering a high-quality education at an affordable price, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 “America’s Best Colleges” issue, which ranks Wilson the fifth-best value college in its category. It is the 12th straight year Wilson has earned top ranking in the category for regional colleges in the North. It also ranks Wilson 13th overall in the best regional colleges “focused on undergraduate education” in the northern region. Highlights of the rankings will be printed on the magazine’s website and in its “Best Colleges 2013” guidebook, which will be available on newsstands on Sept. 18.

    Rebecca Heston '09

    Growing up in South Mountain, Pa., not far from the Wilson campus, Rebecca Heston was very attracted to the College. “I loved the idea that the curriculum was kind of intensive and I could just jump into it,” said Rebecca. “I was also interested in the women’s college aspect because I just felt that I needed to develop my personality a little bit more and Wilson provided me with the ability to do that.”
