Wilson Softball Making Fifth Consecutive Conference Tournament Appearance
– On Sunday, April 28 the Wilson College softball team swept conference rival Penn State Harrisburg, 3-2 and 10-9. In the second game of the doubleheader, the Phoenix took the Lady Lions into extra innings. In the bottom of the eighth inning, with Harrisburg up by one run, Wilson was able to score two to win the game 10-9. With that extra innings victory, the Phoenix clinched the number two seed in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South division for the NEAC conference championship hosted by Penn State Berks. Wilson finishes the regular season with a 13-7 record in the NEAC South, 13-15 overall.

Accomplished Organist to Perform in Van Looy Organ Series
Organist Shelly Moorman-Stahlman will perform at Wilson College on Sunday, April 28, as part of the 2012-13 Van Looy Organ Series. The performance will begin at 3 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.

Wilson College Athletic Department Awarded NCAA Grant
Wilson College has been selected to receive the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Strategic Alliance Matching Grant for the 2013- 2016 grant cycle, making this the first time Wilson College has been awarded the highly competitive grant.

Blessing of the Animals Set for May 1
The annual Wilson College Blessing of the Animals will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, on the green outside Laird Hall. All creatures great and small (and their masters) are welcome. Wilson Chaplain Rosie Magee will lead the blessing service.

On Tuesday, April 9, the Wilson College field hockey team hosted a clinic for Special Olympic athletes as part of Wilson College’s celebration of NCAA Division III week.
