Wilson Soccer Finishes the 2011 Season
The Wilson College Soccer team was defeated 0-3 by Penn State Harrisburg in their final game of the 2011 season on Tuesday afternoon. Despite a few good opportunities, the Phoenix were unable to score on the Lady Lions. Katie Murphy (Schnecksville, PA/ Parkland) recorded 8 saves in the net for Wilson.

Wilson College Hosts Symposium on Food Issues for Professionals, Students
Wilson College will host a symposium entitled “Closing the Food Gap — Connecting Community and Local Food,” on Thursday, Nov. 10, for professionals and students interested in issues involving local food, nutrition education, and how to improve access to locally grown or raised food.

Wilson College Gallery Exhibits Work of Lycoming College Professor
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Wilson College will hold a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, to mark the opening of Howard Tran, an exhibit of sculpture and drawings by the Lycoming College professor and artist of the same name.

Popular Wilson College Vet Club Dog Washes Set for Oct. 22, 23
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Wilson College Veterinary Medical Technology Club will host two dog washes this fall – on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 22 and 23. Both will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the college veterinary building near the Park Avenue campus entrance off U.S. 11 (Philadelphia Avenue).

Wilson Soccer defeated 2-1 by Gallaudet
The Wilson College Soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat by NEAC conference opponent, Gallaudet University. The Bison took an early led when midfielder Maddie Morgan scored on a 25 yard long ball that just got over Phoenix goalkeeper Katie Murphy (Schnecksville, PA/ Parkland).

Phoenix Drop Overtime Heartbreaker to Bridgewater
The Wilson College Hockey team was defeated 3-2 in a double overtime heartbreaker to Bridgewater College on Thursday, October 6th. The Phoenix were first on the scoreboard when Jami DeVanie (Boiling Springs, PA/ Cumberland Valley) scored in a scrum in front of the cage in the 13th minute.

Oct. 17 Lecture at Wilson Sheds New Light on Abolitionist John Brown
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – More than 150 years after he was hanged at Harper's Ferry, John Brown remains a controversial figure. Dr. Ted Smith of Vanderbilt University will discuss the enigmatic historical figure in a lecture entitled “The Spirit of John Brown: Retrieving Divine Violence as a Topic in Christian Ethics,” to be held at Wilson College on Monday, Oct. 17.
