Wilson Softball Postpones Home Opener
The Wilson College softball team’s doubleheader versus Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday, March 20 has been postponed due to weather. A makeup date for the games is still to be determined. Check back at www.wilson.edu/softball for updates. The Phoenix will open their home schedule on Saturday, March 23 hosting Mount Aloysius College. The first pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.

Joanna Hayes Named Wilson’s First Cross Country Coach
The Wilson College athletic department is pleased to name Joanna Hayes as the first head coach of both the women’s and men’s cross country programs. She will immediately prepare for both programs’ debut in the NCAA Division III and the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) beginning in the Fall 2013.

Venue Change for Phoenix Softball Doubleheader Versus Stevenson University
Due to field conditions at Stevenson University softball stadium, Wilson’s double header on Wednesday, March 19th versus the Mustangs has been moved to Robert E. Taylor Stadium to the University of Maryland College park campus. First pitch will be at 3:00 p.m.

Wilson Science Speaker will Discuss Vast Potential of Operations Research
Operations research, also known as O.R., is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. The potential of operations research to improve our world will be the topic of Dr. Sommer Gentry, who will speak at Wilson College on Wednesday, April 3, as part of the “Science in Society” speaker series.

World Travel Film and Dinner Series Journeys to Korea
The Wilson College 2012-13 World Travel Dinner and Film Series will introduce armchair travelers to the people, food and culture of Korea on Monday, March 18. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Laird Hall, followed by the film, Korea: Land of Contrasts, at 7 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.

Wilson Writers Group to Meet April 3
The Wilson College Writers Group will host local book publishing consultant and author Dean Drawbaugh at its next meeting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in Warfield Hall’s Allen Auditorium. Drawbaugh will present a seminar entitled “The Book Seller: Nine Qualities that Generate Book Sales.” The event is free and open to the public.
