Operations research, also known as O.R., is the discipline of applying advanced analytical methods to help make better decisions. The potential of operations research to improve our world will be the topic of Dr. Sommer Gentry, who will speak at Wilson College on Wednesday, April 3, as part of the “Science in Society” speaker series.

World Travel Film and Dinner Series Journeys to Korea
The Wilson College 2012-13 World Travel Dinner and Film Series will introduce armchair travelers to the people, food and culture of Korea on Monday, March 18. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Laird Hall, followed by the film, Korea: Land of Contrasts, at 7 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.

Wilson Writers Group to Meet April 3
The Wilson College Writers Group will host local book publishing consultant and author Dean Drawbaugh at its next meeting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in Warfield Hall’s Allen Auditorium. Drawbaugh will present a seminar entitled “The Book Seller: Nine Qualities that Generate Book Sales.” The event is free and open to the public.

Annual Wilson Juried Student Art Exhibition Opens Feb. 27
Wilson College will hold a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, to marking the opening of the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. The exhibit, presented by Wilson’s Department of Fine Arts and Dance, will continue through March 22 in the Bogigian Gallery.

Vet Club Community Dog Wash Set for March 2, 3
The Wilson College Veterinary Medical Technology Club will host dog washes on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 and 3. Both will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the college veterinary building near the Park Avenue campus entrance off U.S. 11 (Philadelphia Avenue).

Wilson College Basketball Player Earns All-Conference Honors
Wilson College basketball player, Vanessa Whitfield (Chambersburg, Pa./ Chambersburg), was selected to the North Eastern Athletic Conference’s (NEAC) All-Conference Third Team as a forward.
