    Women’s Cross Country Gears Up for NEAC Championships

    The Phoenix cross country team will participate in the NEAC Championships this weekend hosted by SUNY IT. The women’s 5K race beings at 11am and is held on SUNY Institute of Technology’s campus course in Utica, N.Y.

    Fall Sports Recognize Senior Student-Athletes

    The Wilson College field hockey and soccer teams recently concluded their 2013 seasons and would like to recognize their senior athletes for their academic and athletic achievements. Both squads graduate a large number of seniors, and both teams relied on the experience and leadership of their senior players during the current seasons.

    Orchesis Performs Nov. 8, 9

    Wilson's modern dance ensemble, Orchesis, will present its annual fall concert on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, in the Appenzellar-Buchanan Dance Studio. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a Saturday matinee at 1 p.m. followed by question-and-answer session with the choreographers and dancers.     Bernecker Earns All-Conference Honors

    Senior soccer player Courtney Bernecker was selected as a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference Second Team All-Conference. She joins the 33 total student-athletes who are recognized on an All-Conference team. All-Conference selections are decided upon by the conference coaches.

    Schellenberg Exhibit Runs through Feb. 8 in Bogigian Gallery

    Wilson College is hosting an art exhibition entitled Lou Schellenberg, From Observation to Abstraction, through Feb. 8, 2014, in the Bogigian Gallery, which is located on the second floor of Lortz Hall. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, "includes paintings that depict a sense of place, including structures and buildings in the landscape,” said Schellenberg, who teaches art at Elizabethtown College and has won numerous awards for her work.

    Wilson Soccer Team Set to Air on Local ESPN Radio

    As a result of their athletic accomplishments this season, the Wilson College soccer team was interviewed by a local affiliate of ESPN radio this afternoon. Radio host Gordy Schlotter conducted the interview on campus among the student body in the Wilson College dining hall.

    Postponed Wilson Golf Tournament Rescheduled

    Wilson's 7th annual Blue Jacket Golf Classic golf tournament, which had to be postponed due to rain, has been rescheduled for Friday, May 9, 2014. The tournament was originally planned for Friday, Oct. 11, at Chambersburg Country Club.

    Head of Interfaith, Anti-Torture Organization to Speak at Wilson

    The Rev. Richard Killmer, executive director of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, will speak at Wilson College on Wednesday, Oct. 30. He will preach at the chapel service at noon in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel and give a lecture at 4 p.m. Both events are open to the public.

    Field Hockey Defeats Bethany in Season Finale

    The Phoenix field hockey team shutout Bethany College this afternoon 4-0, snatching a win on their last game of the year. With the win, Wilson ends their season with a 7-9 overall record.

    Wilson Soccer Ends Season With A Victory

    The Wilson soccer team concluded their 2013 season with a solid NEAC win over Gallaudet University this afternoon, by a final score of 3-1. With the victory, the Phoenix end their season with an overall record of 6-11, the best record they have posted in the last five seasons.
