Sam Baker ’13 Brings Passion to Her Sport and Sets an Example for Her Son
When she was in high school, Sam Baker ’13 dreamed about being a college athlete. An avid lacrosse and basketball player, she envisioned the camaraderie that comes from being on a team and giving your all to a sport you love. What she did not envision was having a child on the sidelines.

Melanie Faith '99 is a practitioner of both image and word. As a Wilson English major who went on to graduate school, Melanie knew that she wanted to write professionally. She found a fondness for photography when she discovered how similar it was to poetry.

Wilson graduate Sami Winkler '09 recently earned a Master of Research degree in primate biology, behavior and conservation from the University of Roehampton in London. She plans to use her degree to educate the public about the importance of conservation.

Rebecca Heston '09
Growing up in South Mountain, Pa., not far from the Wilson campus, Rebecca Heston was very attracted to the College. “I loved the idea that the curriculum was kind of intensive and I could just jump into it,” said Rebecca. “I was also interested in the women’s college aspect because I just felt that I needed to develop my personality a little bit more and Wilson provided me with the ability to do that.”
