Wilson Travel Series Journeys to Barbados

The Wilson College 2013-14 World Travel Dinner and Film Series will introduce audience members to the people, food and culture of Barbados on Monday, Oct. 14. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Laird Hall, followed by the film, Barbados: Island in the Sun, at 7 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Wilson College 2013-14 World Travel Dinner and Film Series will introduce audience members to the people, food and culture of Barbados on Monday, Oct. 14. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Laird Hall, followed by the film, Barbados: Island in the Sun, at 7 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.

The dinner menu for the night will include: Bajan salad, cous cous and flying fish, potato corn pie, Bajan black-eyed peas and rice, and coconut bread. Dinner will be prepared by SAGE Dining Services® Inc.

Following dinner, travelogue filmmaker Steve Gosner will take armchair travelers on a visual journey through the tropical island of Barbados with a self-shot documentary, narrating his experiences along the way.
