This weekend the Wilson softball and lacrosse teams hosted staff appreciation games where the teams invited college staff members to act as guest coaches. The staff appreciation games were created as part of an effort to thank the Wilson College staff for all their hard work and support of our student-athletes and were just one of several events held during Wilson’s celebration of NCCA Division III week. Maintenance personnel Matt Smoyer, and grounds supervisor Chris Shane where named guest coaches for the softball team, while head safety and security officer Todd Sites and housekeeper Beverly Neidigh helped coach the lacrosse team. According to head softball coach Brett Cline, “I loved the opportunity to recognize and thank a few of the behind the scenes staff workers, who have such a huge impact on the lives and well-being of our students here at Wilson.”
