Wilson Softball Gearing Up for the NEAC Championship Tournament

The Wilson College softball team will travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. for the 2012 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) softball championships hosted by Keuka College. The tournament is a six-team, double-elimination format, taking place Friday, May 4th through Sunday, May 6th.

The Wilson College softball team will travel to Keuka Park, N.Y. for the 2012 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) softball championships hosted by Keuka College. The tournament is a six-team, double-elimination format, taking place Friday, May 4th through Sunday, May 6th.

The Phoenix earned the NEAC South Division regular season championship and a number one south seed, with an undefeated NEAC South Division record of 20-0 and 25-2 overall season record. Penn State Harrisburg claimed the second seed in the south, followed by Penn State Berks.

Keuka College finished the regular season at the top of the NEAC North Division, and will host this year’s tournament. Joining them in from the North is SUNY Institute of Technology at the second seed, followed by third seed Cazenovia College.

The tournament will kick off on Friday with games from the No. 2 and 3 seeds from each division. Wilson will start their NEAC tournament action at 8:00 am on Saturday morning, squaring off against the winner of SUNY IT and Penn State Berks.

The Championship game is set for 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon. The winner will be named NEAC Champion and receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
