Wilson Softball Caps of Season with Several National Rankings

The Wilson College softball team has earned several national rankings for the 2012 season. Out of 402 institutions, Wilson was ranked in the top ten in nine Individual and Team statistical categories in NCAA Division III, including four number one rankings.

The Wilson College softball team has earned several national rankings for the 2012 season. Out of 402 institutions, Wilson was ranked in the top ten in nine Individual and Team statistical categories in NCAA Division III, including four number one rankings. As a team the Phoenix led the nation in Team Scoring (9.84 per game), Team Stolen Bases (3.9 per game). Individually, Bri Smith (Berryville, Va./ Clark County) led Stolen Bases with 1.2 per game, and Megan Schneck (Bethel, Pa./ Tulpehocken) earned a number one ranking in Runs Scored with 1.55 per game. Tara Fields (Berryville, Va./ Clark County) was ranked second in the nation in Runs Batted in per game with 1.48. Freshman, Ashleen McCullough (Hanover, Pa. / New Oxford) finished third in the nation in the category of Walks per game averaging .92.
