Join Wilson College and the Road Runners Club of America to Celebrate NATIONAL RUN@WORK RUN@SCHOOL Day

Posted: September 14, 2012

Wilson College has partnered with the largest grassroots running organization in the country, the Road Runners Club of America, to promote the seventh Annual RUN@WORK / RUN@SCHOOL Day on September 21st, 2012. Through this partnership, our organizations are working together to promote physical activity and healthy living within our community and around the country.

The Athletics Department is encouraging Wilson employees and students to schedule time for physical activity. Incorporating exercise into one’s daily routine can markedly improve one’s overall physical health. The goal of RUN@WORK/ RUN@SCHOOL Day is to encourage co-workers and students to get 30 minutes of exercise each day, in accordance with the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, either before work/school, during lunch, or immediately following work/school.

Wilson College is encouraging its students, faculty, and staff to walk 3 laps (1 mile) at the main campus green beginning at 12:00 p.m. Educational material promoting physical activity will be available at the start. Chambersburg residents and guests are welcome to join the Wilson College Community.
