Five different Phoenix scored in Wilson Soccer’s 5-0 victory over Trinity University yesterday afternoon.

Junior, Caileigh Oliver (Martinsburg, W. Va./ Homeschooled) put Wilson on the scoreboard just three minutes into the game when she buried a dropped ball for Trinity’s keeper in the back of the net. Courtney Bernecker (Saint Thomas, Pa./ James Buchanan), Katie Rickerds (Knoxville, Md./ Boonsboro), and Hannah DeMoss (Philipsburg, N.J./ Belvidere) added extra insurance to the win by scoring into first half. Freshman, Emma Kurtenbach (New Windsor, Md./ South Carroll) added the fifth and final goal for Wilson in the second half of play.

In the goal, senior, Katie Murphy (Schnecksville, Pa./ Parkland) recorded six saves and earned her second shutout of the season.

The Phoenix improve to 2-8 on the season and will hit the road this Saturday to take on Penn State Abington. The game will be held at the Germantown Academy in Fort Washington, Pa. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
