Wilson Field Hockey earns 3-0 Victory

The Wilson Phoenix earned an on the road 3-0 victory Tuesday afternoon, defeating the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University.

Junior, Katie Omori (Vista, Calif./ Vista) started the Phoenix by finding the back of the cage in the 20th minute on a pass from Hillary Sawrtz (Carlisle, Pa. / Boiling Springs). Omori would score the only goal of the first half.

Wilson was able to add to two more to their lead in the second half. In the 45th minute, Megan Schneck (Bethel, Pa. / Tulpenhocken) finished an opportunity off a penalty corner. With 8 minutes remaining, Swartz scored Wilson’s third and final goal of the game on a cross from Brittney Smith (New Oxford, Pa./ New Oxford).

The Phoenix improve their record to 9-6 with four games remaining in the regular season. On Saturday, October 20th, Wilson will travel to New York to take on the Wells College Express. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
