Wilson College Muhibbah Club to Host International Dessert Sampler Nov. 6

10/19/2010 Wilson College’s international student organization, the Muhibbah Club, will host a dessert sampler, featuring delicious and intriguing desserts from around the world, on Saturday, Nov. 6 in the Jensen Dining Hall in Lenfest Commons.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Wilson College’s international student organization, the Muhibbah Club, will host a dessert sampler, featuring delicious and intriguing desserts from around the world, on Saturday, Nov. 6 in the Jensen Dining Hall in Lenfest Commons. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the dessert sampler will begin at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to desserts, the evening will feature entertainment by Wilson’s international students and the opportunity to learn more about the countries represented through hands-on craft tables and meeting and talking with the students.
The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students. Admission is free for children under the age of 5. Reservations are recommended and may be made by contacting club adviser Paul Miller at 717-262-2776 or firstname.lastname@example.org, and leaving a message with phone number, name and number of tickets needed.
The word “Muhibbah” means unity among nations. This year’s Muhibbah Club co-presidents are Lauriane Massin of France and Sarah McGuckin of the United States.
Wilson’s international student population comes from more than a dozen countries, including Nepal, Ghana, Niger, South Korea, France, China and Mexico.
Founded in 1869, Wilson College is a liberal arts college dedicated to the education of women. Affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and located in Chambersburg, Pa. Wilson offers bachelor’s degrees in 30 areas and a master’s degree in education.
