Dickinson stole the scoring show in the first half, posting four goals and shutting out the Wilson offense. Dickinson totaled 17 shots in the first half while holding Wilson to zero. Wilson bounced back in the second half, playing their opponent even. Both the home and away teams scored a goal apiece in the second half, making it a closer game and a morale victory for Wilson.
Wilson played a much more solid second half both offensively and defensively against a tough Dickinson squad. The team looks to carry this positive energy toward their match on Friday against Wells College.
Freshman Megan Sterling scored the team’s only goal in the contest as well as the first goal of the season for the Wilson College field hockey team. Sophomore goalkeeper Gina Weigold racked up 10 saves in the contest.
