Wilson Returns Winless on Road Trip

Posted: September 15, 2013

The Wilson college soccer team dropped a pair of conference games this past weekend during their road trip to New York. The Phoenix fell to Cazenovia College on Saturday, 5-0 and dropped the weekend finale to SUNY Morrisville today by a final score of 4-1.

Morrisville netted a goal against Wilson 13:05 in the game taking the early advantage. Morrisville added two more goals in the first half leading 3-0 at the break against the Phoenix. Wilson struggled to post any goals against the SUNY Morrisville defense until late in the game. Freshman Nana Ohene-Manu removed the zero on the scoreboard and scored her third goal of the 2013 season off a pass from teammate freshman Nicole Bodulow.

Despite the late excitement for the Phoenix, Morrisville defeated Wilson 4-1 and remain undefeated in conference play. With the loss, Wilson drops to 1-5 on the season. The Phoenix will travel to Christendom College on Wednesday September 18th for a nonconference matchup beginning at 5:00pm.
