Wilson Science Speaker Series Features Talk on Radiation Oncology

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Dr. Julia Blum, radiation oncologist with Chambersburg-based Summit Health Inc., will discuss her career and developments in the field of radiation oncology at Wilson College on Wednesday, April 21. Blum is the next speaker in Wilson’s “Science in Society” seminar series:
Free and open to the public, the lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Wilson’s Brooks Complex auditorium.
Blum will discuss her career path and how science has changed it over the last 26 years. She will also talk about changes in the field of radiation oncology and how they will affect residents of Franklin County.
Blum earned her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed her residency training in radiation oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and her fellowship training at Washington University.
The science speaker series is sponsored by the Wilson College Sciences Division and the Institute for Women in Science, Mathematics and Technology (WISMAT).
