CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Orchesis, the Wilson College student dance ensemble, will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in the lobby of Lenfest Commons. The book sale will raise money to support the work of the students, who will present the fall Orchesis performance on Nov. 11 and 12 in Wilson’s Appenzellar-Buchanan Dance Studio.
New and old books, both fiction and nonfiction, will be available on such topics as: art, crafts, children’s literature, history, music, natural science, religion, science fiction, gay literature and women's studies.
The sale also will feature an exhibition of decorated bindings designed by artists and published mostly from 1890 to 1910 that will provide a glimpse into a fascinating chapter of American printing history.
