The Wilson College Soccer team lost 1-2 to Trinity University Wednesday afternoon. The two teams battled back and forth during the first half;

The Wilson College Soccer team lost 1-2 to Trinity University Wednesday afternoon. The two teams battled back and forth during the first half; however the Tigers managed to get on the board first in the 29th minute of play. The Phoenix got the opportunity to even the score two minutes before the half when forward, Colleen O’Reilly (Mardela Springs, MD/ Salisbury) was taken down in the box. Junior, captain, Hannah DeMoss (Philipsburg, NJ/ Belvidere) stepped up to take the Penalty Kick and buried the ball in back of the net, tying the score going into the half.

In the second half of play, the Tigers came out strong and scored just three minutes into the half. Despite several opportunities, Wilson was unable to even the score again. Elizabeth Boratenski (Silver Springs, MD/ Homeschooled) had 7 saves in the goal for the Phoenix.

Wilson will travel to New York this weekend to take on NEAC opponents Cazenovia College on Saturday and Morrisville State on Sunday.
