Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter/Alternative Spring Break
The Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter plans Alternative Spring Break, a weeklong trip
(March 13-19, 2011) to an off campus site where students assist in home building. Curran
Scholars earn 40 volunteer hours for this week.

Mardi Gras Fundraiser

Each year Curran Scholars help to run the Mardi Gras Fundraiser that supports the Alternative
Spring Break trip. This event will be planned by the Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter.

Winter Weekend Retreat
For a two-night stay, students are invited to a retreat at The Pilgrimage in Washington, DC,
February 18-20, 2011. The cost to students will be $35. Curran Scholars earn 16 hours during

Worship Services
Wednesdays from 12pm-12:30pm classes are placed on hold for Worship. As a Curran, you can
log 30 minutes toward your hours for attending Worship.

Leadership Weekend
Student volunteers help with organization of this weekend event, September 25-26, 2010.

Blood Drive/Health Fairs
Wilson College hosts three blood drives throughout the school year. In conjunction with the
Blood Drive there is also a campus health fair. Volunteers will assist in signing in donors and
walking donors to the resting table, getting donors food, and sitting at information tables. Curran

Tour Guides
This is an excellent opportunity for students who are excited about sharing their Wilson College
experience with others. Students will not log more than 3 hours per week. Contact Mary Foltz,

Child Minding
You may child mind only for moms in the WWC Program, up to 3 hours per week. Contact

Tutoring in the Academic Support Center
You may also volunteer your time as a tutor to other students. You may log 3 hours per week in
