The Child Care Center strives to provide high quality early care and education for children of Wilson College students and staff, and families in the Chambersburg community through a curriculum that is child-centered and developmentally appropriate. The center participates in Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS quality initiative and exceeds state minimum licensing standards.
The teachers help children develop emotional, social, physical and cognitive abilities that they can build on for years to come. These child care professionals work together to provide children with a safe, healthy, organized and nurturing environment, where children feel secure to try new skills. Given time for hands-on investigation and opportunities to create, reason, problem solve, socialize and communicate, each child will discover and learn at their own individual pace. Children develop the skills and knowledge to prepare them for entry into Kindergarten.
