Arts Day 2017

Arts Day at Wilson is an educational, fun-filled day of free events that encourage everyone to appreciate and celebrate interdisciplinary arts, take note of the impact of the arts on our daily lives, and explore the critical and creative nature of the visual and performing arts.

Our hope is that students, as well as members of the greater community, will see more clearly how the arts are bound to all facets of our lives, and recognize the importance of continued study and support for the arts in our society.

The Practice of African Traditional Religion in Modern African Society

This lecture seeks to talk about the practice of African Traditional Religion in Modern African society highlighting the nature of the religion and its ethical concerns of preserving and enhancing life.

A New Christianity in Africa: Health and Wealth Gospel in a Sea of Poverty

This lecture is about theologies of prosperity in the context of disease and poverty.  It raises the question whether to liberate or continue to enslave adherence.

Student Research Day 2017

     This special day is held annually to honor our students and faculty mentors in their pursuit of outstanding research, scholarship, and creative activities.  This event brings together our community in supportive recognition and understanding of the wide spectrum of research disciplines in which our students and faculty are involved as they pursue creative, academic, and scholarly achievements.  Each student presenter has worked with one or more faculty mentors in exercising their intellectual and creative abilities which have culminated in the research presented at this event.

Senior Seminar II/Thesis Exhibition Closing

Graduating seniors from Wilson College will be exhibiting their senior seminar work and thesis work in the Bogigian Gallery.  This exhibition begins April 26 until May 14.  Reception TBA

Annual Juried Wilson College Student Art Exhibition Closing

Wilson College students will have their art on display in the Bogigian Gallery of Lortz Hall beginning on March 22.  Also on March 22, a reception will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Bogigian Gallery.  The exhibition will be open until April 21.  This will be a Juried art exhibition.
