    Orchesis Performs Nov. 8, 9

    Wilson's modern dance ensemble, Orchesis, will present its annual fall concert on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, in the Appenzellar-Buchanan Dance Studio. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a Saturday matinee at 1 p.m. followed by question-and-answer session with the choreographers and dancers.     Schellenberg Exhibit Runs through Feb. 8 in Bogigian Gallery

    Wilson College is hosting an art exhibition entitled Lou Schellenberg, From Observation to Abstraction, through Feb. 8, 2014, in the Bogigian Gallery, which is located on the second floor of Lortz Hall. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, "includes paintings that depict a sense of place, including structures and buildings in the landscape,” said Schellenberg, who teaches art at Elizabethtown College and has won numerous awards for her work.

    Postponed Wilson Golf Tournament Rescheduled

    Wilson's 7th annual Blue Jacket Golf Classic golf tournament, which had to be postponed due to rain, has been rescheduled for Friday, May 9, 2014. The tournament was originally planned for Friday, Oct. 11, at Chambersburg Country Club.

    Head of Interfaith, Anti-Torture Organization to Speak at Wilson

    The Rev. Richard Killmer, executive director of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, will speak at Wilson College on Wednesday, Oct. 30. He will preach at the chapel service at noon in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel and give a lecture at 4 p.m. Both events are open to the public.

    VMT Club to Hold Community Dog Washes Oct. 19, 20

    The Wilson College Veterinary Medical Technology Club will host dog washes from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20, in the college veterinary building near the Park Avenue campus entrance off U.S. 11 (Philadelphia Avenue). The dog washes are open to the public.

    Wilson Travel Series Journeys to Barbados

    The Wilson College 2013-14 World Travel Dinner and Film Series will introduce audience members to the people, food and culture of Barbados on Monday, Oct. 14. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. in Laird Hall, followed by the film, Barbados: Island in the Sun, at 7 p.m. in Thomson Hall's Alumnae Chapel.
