Courses Offered

2014 Course Offerings

Each child will be placed in 4 courses per week based on their order of preference and availability. Some courses may not run or may fill up quickly.

Archery - Master Archery tackle & in-target shooting, beginners are welcome! Grades 3-6

Karate Kids - A specialized program including age-appropriate material that's designed to target the stages of child development in a fun and entertaining way. Children will learn focus, teamwork, fitness, balance, discipline, coordination and be on their way to becoming a karate kid. Grades K-3, 4-6

CSI - Learn how to evaluate an actual crime scene using some of the coolest and most scientific ways the pros use. Grades 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg Duct Duct Goose - Using everyones favorite household item Duct Tape, your child will create some of the neatest and most practical crafts possible. Grades K-3, 4-6


 

Mystery Festival - Students observe the "Crime Scene", then conduct crime lab tests on evidence at classroom learning stations, analyze the results, apply their knowledge and try to solve the case of "Who Borrowed Mr. Bear?" Grades K-3

New_Button_Seeds.jpg Origami - This popular traditional Japanese art of paper folding is sure to captivity the creative side of your child. Grades K-3, 4-6


Bead Work - Grades K-3, 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg Paint-A-Rama - Come make a splash in the art world while you learn the basics, tricks and techniques. In this course your child will experiment with watercolor, acrylic and tie-dye. Please supply a smock! K-3, 4-6

Scrapbooking -  Grades K-3, 4-6

Outdoor Fitness -  This course will get your child up and active for an hour a day. Starting with basic stretching and ending in fun fitness games, each child is sure to stay engaged and involved while learning to be more physically fit. Grades K-3, 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg  Science Fair - Using ordinary household items, your child will learn and create some of the most unique science fair projects there are. Grades K-3, 4-6

Nature Art - Discover and explore the natural world around you! Using nature's treasure trove of materials, you will have fun creating art projects inspired by nature. Grades K-3 

New_Button_Seeds.jpg  Garage Band - Making music is amazing but creating a wonderful sound using instruments you made yourself is extraordinary! Grades K-3, 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg  Lights, Camera, Action - This new course will introduce your child to the world of movie making. Each group will work together to create a 10 minute movie and each participant will receive a copy. Kids will get to be Directors, camera operators and on-screen talent. Grades K-3, 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg  Yoga - This wonderful style of stretching and relaxing is no longer just for adults. Grades K-3, 4-6

New_Button_Seeds.jpg  Edible Art - Using their imaginations and their appetites, your children will be creating wonderfully beautiful edible pieces of art. This art will consist of decorated cakes, fondant flowers, fruit sculptures and more. Grades K-3, 4-6
