The R.I.S.E. Center is here to support your academic journey from your first semester through graduation.Located on the first floor of the John Stewart Memorial Library, the R.I.S.E. Center offers free, individualized academic support to all enrolled students. Services include:Academic Success Center - offering academic success coachingThe Writing Lab - in-person and online writing supportSubject tutoring and supplemental instruction for select coursesAccessibility services - accommodations for students with documented needsPersonal librarians - each student is assigned a personal librarian who can provide a range of assistanceThe R.I.S.E. Center is staffed by professional educators, peer tutors, graduate assistants, and supplemental instruction leaders—all committed to helping you succeed. We are proud to serve students of all majors, backgrounds, and academic levels.In the 2024–2025 academic year alone, we supported more than 1,172 appointments in success coaching, tutoring, and writing lab. Students who use R.I.S.E. Center services tend to earn higher GPSAs, perform better in challenging courses and are more likely to graduate on time.
