The AAWC Nominating Committee presents the slate of officers and directors for terms running 2019 through 2022. Online voting will close on May 30 before Reunion Weekend begins. Members can also vote using their Reunion 2019 registration form or in person during the annual Alumnae Association of Wilson College General Meeting from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, in Brooks Auditorium. VICE PRESIDENT Katelyn E. Wingerd ’16 graduated from Wilson with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and Spanish. Since graduation, she has been teaching at Franklin Township Elementary School in Adams County, Pa. A resident of Orrtanna, Pa., Wingerd is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pa. While at Wilson, she served as class president in her junior and senior years. As a Curran Scholar, she served as student coordinator for the College’s Learning Campus after-school tutoring program for migrant children. She also participated in a nine-week study-service program in San José, Costa Rica, and took part in three Habitat for Humanity Alter- native Spring Break trips. Wingerd has served on the Alumnae Association board since 2016, acting as vice chair of the Heritage Committee since 2018. __________________ TREASURER Carol Zehosky ’12 and ’15 graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications. A resident of Shippensburg, Pa., she is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society. Zehosky is president of the Conococheague Institute in Mercersburg, Pa., which focuses on preserving the history of the Appalachian frontier. She was previously the office manager at the Catholic Campus Ministry at Shippensburg University. Zehosky’s board experiences include the Alumnae Association of Wilson College and Christ Among Neighbors. She volunteers with the AAWC and the Conococheague Institute. __________________ ALUMNAE TRUSTEE (to the college Board of Trustees) Judy Kreutz Young ’63 graduated from Wilson with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and elementary education. She earned a Master of Educa- tion from Shippensburg University in 1967 and a librarian certification from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa, in 1976. Now living in Fayetteville, Pa., Young is retired after a 45-year career in education, including 23 years as the director of libraries for the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pa. She serves as an elder at Central Presbyterian Church and volunteers at Grove Family Library, both in Chambersburg. Additionally, she is a member of the Wilson Magazine Committee and supports the Aunt Sarah program, Wilson Choir, Diversitones, the chaplain’s office and the Curran Scholars program. She is the Class of 1963 secretary and reunion chair. __________________ DIRECTORS Cynthia Fink Barber ’73 graduated from Wilson with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and went on to earn a Master of Education in special education from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va., in 1974 and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from West Virginia University in 1994. Before retiring, the Martinsburg, W.Va., resident spent her career in education. She was a special education teacher and later was principal of Back Creek Elementary School in Hedgesville, W.Va. A former board member of the Alumnae Association of Wilson College, Barber volunteers for the Hankey Center, transcribing letters for the archives; has served on the AAWC Heritage, Nomination and Student Connections committees; and volunteers with the Aunt Sarah program. She also volunteers at the Berkeley County (W.Va.) Public Library and Berkeley County Backpack Program. __________________ Casey L. Beidel ’13 and ’16M attended Wilson as a legacy student and earned his bachelor’s degree in English and communications in 2013. He continued at Wilson through the Master of Arts in Humanities program, receiving his master’s degree in 2016. Beidel, who lives in Chambersburg, was most recently employed as a frontline manager for Aramark, a Philadelphia-based corporation that provides food, uniform and facilities management services to clients in 19 countries. He worked at the Gettysburg National Military Park visitor center, handling arrangements for events for the nonprofit Gettysburg Foundation. Previously, Beidel worked as an assistant store manager at GameStop, a video game, electronics and wireless services retailer. At Wilson, Beidel was the Disert Scholar in his senior year and he graduated with honors in the discipline. __________________ Ann Henninger Trax ’68 graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. In 1973, she earned a doctorate in physiology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Currently living Waverly, Iowa, Trax is a retired professor emerita of biology from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. She was a professor of biology and chair of the biology department there, and served as the college’s registrar and director of special programming. Prior to Wartburg, she was a professor biology and director of continuing education at Lebanon Valley College. Trax is a member of the Society of Sigma Xi, American Physiological Society, Human Anatomy and Physiology Society and the American Association of University Women. She has also served as president of the Waverly Garden Club and is co-founder of the Bremer County Breast Cancer Education and Support Group. __________________ Janelle Wills ’14 earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Wilson before attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and earning her doctorate in veterinary medicine (V.M.D.). She is employed as an associate veterinarian at Rancocas Veterinary Associates in Mount Holly, N.J., and lives in Philadelphia. At Wilson, Wills served as secretary and then president of the Wilson College Government Association. She graduated cum laude and was a Wilson Scholar and a Wilson Scholar Athlete. Wills is a member of several professional organizations, including both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey American Veterinary Medical Associations. In addition, the New Jersey AVMA has named Wills a “Rising Leader.” Wills has served on the Alumnae Association board since 2016. __________________ G. Faye Wilson ’77 earned a bachelor’s degree in religion studies from Wilson in 1977. She has a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University; a Master of Theological Studies from Drew Theological School in Madison, N. J.; and a Doctor of Education in adult and higher education from Columbia University in New York City. A resident of Salisbury, Md., Wilson has served as executive director of GeeFaye Associates—performing writing and music consultation—for the past 21 years. Previously, she worked in family engagement for the Wicomico County (Md.) Board of Education and as education coordinator for the General Board of Global Ministries. Wilson has served on several boards, including on the Alumnae Association of Wilson College board from 1993-96, and has been president of the Salisbury District of United Methodist Women and vice chair of the board of Wicomico County’s public access channel, PAC 14. __________________ NOMINATING REPRESENTATIVE Brenda Wheeler Rawlings ’67 graduated from Wilson as a legacy student with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Now retired, the Wash- ington, D.C., resident spent her career in research. Her previous positions include serving as director of research at Galludet University in the District of Columbia; research associate at the Victorian School for Deaf Children in Melbourne, Australia; and researcher for the U.S. Census Bureau in the District of Columbia. Since graduating from Wilson, Rawlings has held various officer positions for the Class of 1967, including class ambassador. She is a board member and secretary of the Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter and is also a board member and secretary of the Shenandoah Democratic Caucus. Rawlings volunteers at the Washington National Cathedral and for the Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.
