Celebrate the Arts at Wilson College During ArtsFest 2024 Celebrate the arts at Wilson College as it hosts the second annual ArtsFest from April 1-5. The theme for this year’s event is “Art is…Transformation,” which highlights how art transforms human experience. ArtsFest is a week-long event that includes theatre and dance performances, a fashion show, open mic readings, and visual arts workshops. One highlight of the week will be a UNITY project, which will allow members of the community to help create a structure of intertwined yarn that will represent their interconnectedness. Wilson College Art Students Exhibit at The Foundry The Foundry, at 100 South Main Street in downtown Chambersburg, will host an exhibition of artwork by Wilson College Studio Art and Graphic Design students. Program Perspective: Art and Design “I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil, so I've always had a very strong relationship with the arts (not to mention that graphic design is actually a great gateway into what I will be studying for my master's degree). Wilson College Student Presents Senior Capstone Art Exhibition Wilson College will host a senior capstone exhibition for Simone Hawkins at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 19, at Bogigian Gallery in Lortz Hall at Wilson College. Wilson College Student Spotlight: Jeremiah Carter-Johnson '23 Graphic design major, Jeremiah Carter-Johnson '23, served as a graphic art intern at Virginia Union University’s Intercollegiate Athletics and Community Wellness division. While there he developed promotional materials for the men’s and women’s basketball teams that were used on the internet, email, communications, and social media. Annual Wilson College Juried Student Art Exhibition Opens March 29 Wilson will hold a reception at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, to mark the opening of the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. The show, presented by Arts at Wilson, will continue through April 21 in the Bogigian Gallery on the second floor of Lortz Hall. Hagerstown Community College Art Students Exhibit Work at Wilson Wilson will host an exhibition of artwork by students from Hagerstown Community College (HCC) in the Bogigian Gallery from Feb. 1 through Mar. 3, 2023. Senior Capstone Art Exhibition and Ceramic Pit Firing Wilson will host an opening for Breana Sneed’s senior capstone exhibition at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, at Bogigian Gallery in Lortz Hall. The show will continue through January 18, 2023. Before the opening, professor Denise Joyal will host a ceramic pit firing along with Ms. Sneed.
