Amy Watson

Amy Watson, Ed.D., coordinator of field experiences, has worked in various capacities in education for the past 20 years. She has taught middle school language arts and reading intervention, and served as a literacy coach, supporting students and educators across grade levels and content areas at the middle school level.

Her work in higher education includes teaching developmental literacy courses for adult learners, education courses for pre-service teachers, and graduate courses for in-service teachers. She also enjoys supervising and mentoring pre-service teachers during their practicum semesters in the field. 

Passionate about the future of education, Watson collaborates with school districts across Pennsylvania and beyond in her role as coordinator of field experiences. She also serves on the board of directors and volunteers with the Franklin County Literacy Council.

Watson holds a Doctor of Education in reading and literacy from Capella University, a Master of Science in reading specialization from Hood College and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Shippensburg University.
