Daniela DiGregorio is a dedicated multilingual educator, researcher, and presenter. She has presented at national and international conferences (Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, Hawaii) and published articles on education and ESL issues. In recognition of her teaching excellence, she received the Donald F. Bletz Award at Wilson College in April 2023. She is originally from the Czech Republic where she taught English as a Foreign Language to Czech high school students and organized study abroad trips to London. After she moved to the United States, she completed her education and worked as an ESL Curriculum Specialist for Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19. She administered ESL Consortium Program, taught English language learners K-12, and provided professional development to school districts in Lackawanna County. Later she worked in the North Pocono School District as an ESL Program Specialist and Teacher. In addition, she taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Marywood University and Wilkes University. In 2009, she completed a Ph.D. degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has enjoyed teaching undergraduate and graduate students at Wilson College since 2018. In 2021, she started an international partnership between Wilson College and University of South Bohemia, and in 2023 she organized a study abroad trip to the Czech Republic and Austria for Wilson students and community. Currently, she serves as a PA-NAME board member and the IRB chair at Wilson College.
