The self-taught artist is world renowned and his pieces can be seen all over the world, from the Smithsonian to the New Orleans Museum of art. The art he paints is the portrait of his community, Overtown Miami and the trials and tribulations that went on throughout history. He is known as the Picasso of our generation.Purvis of Overtown will be shown and then a talk back will be held after.
