Fine Arts and Dance

Wilson will hold a reception at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, to mark the opening of the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition, presented by the Department of Fine Arts and Dance, will continue through April 20 in the Bogigian Gallery on the second floor of Lortz Hall.

The show is an opportunity for students to share their work with the community. The exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, prints, graphic design, ceramics, photographs, and mixed-media artwork with a wide array of subject matter and content.

This show will celebrate the art of Wilson College dancers, as well as the choreography of young, local choreographers of Dance Academy XIV and Chambersburg Ballet. The lineup features modern, hip hop, ballet, Bollywood and more!

Please join us Monday, February 14th from 11 a.m. -12 p.m. in Wilson College’s Cooley Gallery for the opening of Epidemic: An Exhibition by Dr. Eric Avery & Adam DelMarcelle. During the first half of the opening, visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibition, and in the second half, they will be invited to participate in a Q&A with Visiting Assistant Professor of Graphic Design Adam DelMarcelle and Cooley Gallery Curator Joshua Legg in the Lenfest Learning Commons.   
 

Wilson College will celebrate Arts Day 2021 with activities and exhibitions across campus, free and open to the public. Make a bird bookmark at the library circulation desk, and, while you’re there, enjoy short videos of our favorite Orchesis dance performances from the past six years. View artworks in progress by students and faculty at the drawing/painting and faculty studios. Peruse the exhibitions at the Cooley, Bogigian, and Hunnicut galleries. And participate in many more events and activities.

Wilson College is hosting an exhibition of artwork by students of Hagerstown Community College’s Department of Visual Arts, beginning Feb. 12. The exhibition, presented by Wilson’s Division of Art & Letters, will continue through March 10 in the Bogigian Gallery, located on the second floor of Lortz Hall.

The Foundry, at 100 South Main Street in downtown Chambersburg, will host an exhibition of artwork by Wilson College studio art students. The exhibition will open on Feb. 19 and continue through March 14, 2021. The event is free and open to the public.

The Wilson College Juried High School Art Exhibition will be held virtually online from February 24 to April 21, 2021. 

It is an opportunity for student artists to exhibit and possibly win cash or a scholarship.

Join Assistant Professor of Dance & Assistant MFA Program Director, Megan Mizanty, for a conversation about Dance offerings at Wilson. Join the conversation about choreography, performance, arts administration, and dance education with our faculty and students.  The dance program is molded according to each student, giving you many opportunities to explore and experience the art of dance with fellow students and practitioners. This virtual event will be held via Zoom.
