Bio

Ginger Peterson, DPN, RN, CNE, NPD-BC, is an assistant professor of nursing at Wilson College, where she has been teaching since 2020. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in educational leadership from the American Sentinel College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Post University, a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on nurse education from Walden University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College.

Specializing in nursing education, Peterson brings extensive teaching experience across a wide variety of courses, including Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Genetics, Fundamentals of Nursing Practice, Nursing Care for Chronically Ill and Medical/Surgical Patients, and Complex Care Across the Lifespan. She has also taught a graduate-level course on Outcomes and Program Evaluation.

Her research interests center on nursing education and simulation. She has presented on topics such as "The Impact of a Medication Administration Simulation on Self-Efficacy" and "A Collaborative Approach to Human Trafficking Education," reflecting her commitment to innovative and socially responsive teaching practices.  

Peterson is actively involved in professional organizations, including the National League of Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Omega Eta chapter.
