Bio

Kimberly Erwin ’22 M.S.N., RN, CCRN, has served as the simulation and clinical coordinator and instructor for the Nursing Program at Wilson College since 2020. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Wilson College in 2022, following a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Nursing at West Virginia University. 

Erwin teaches a wide range of courses within the nursing curriculum, including Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Adult Complex Care, and Research in Healthcare. She brings a rich clinical background to the classroom, drawing from her experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nurse and Critical-Care Transport nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at UMMC. Her clinical insights help bridge the gap between theory and practice, enriching the learning experience for her students. 

Her current research focuses on developing an intervention aimed at addressing incivility in both nursing education and clinical practice. Her work also seeks to enhance the professional quality of life for nursing students as they transition into the workforce.
