Vermont Law School Agreement

VLS Articulation Agreement with Wilson College

In the summer of 2008, Wilson College entered into an “articulation agreement” or admissions agreement with Vermont Law School (VLS). Under this agreement, Wilson College students will be automatically admitted to VLS so long as they meet the following entrance requirements:

  • At the time of enrollment in VLS, Wilson students will have completed Wilson College’s requirements for the bachelor’s degree (BA or BS).
  • The applicant will have completed a minimum of 20 credits toward the bachelor’s degree in residence at Wilson.
  • The applicant has a cumulative grade point average calculated by the Law School Data Assembly Service that is equal to or exceeds the average grade point average of the first-year JD or MSEL class in residence at VLS.
  • The applicant has a current LSAT score (dated less than four years from the first semester of enrollment at Vermont Law School) that is equal to or exceeds the average LSAT score of the first-year JD class in residence at VLS at the time of the Wilson student’s application to VLS. An equivalent GRE score is accepted for MSEL applicants.
  • The applicant presents two letters of recommendation from Wilson faculty.
  • The applicant’s file contains no evidence of character or fitness concerns that would generally disqualify the applicant from admission into VLS.

Edward Wells, Associate Professor and Chair of the Environmental Studies department, was instrumental in bringing about the VLS articulation agreement with Wilson. Professor Wells has been affiliated with VLS in various capacities. Students, prospective students, and alumnae can contact him with more detailed questions about VLS.
